In 2008, Elon Musk started dating a famous British actress, Talulah Riley. They got married in 2010 at Dornoch Cathedral in Scotland. However, their marriage was short-lived, and in 2012, Musk filed for divorce.
In 2013, Elon and Riley remarried, stating that they had reconciled their issues. After 17 months of remarriage, Elon filed for divorce again. However, he withdrew the divorce paper after a few days. In 2016, Riley herself filed for divorce in Los Angeles and got a divorce in October 2016.
At the end of this marriage, Elon Musk met Amber Heard at the New York Met Gala. However, reports say that both of them have been dating since 2015. Thus, both Amber Heard and Elon Musk were in a relationship even before getting their respective divorce. However, their dating life was short-lived. In 2017 they ended their relationship.
Amber Heard’s career, however, didn’t start to decline until 2018. In 2018, she wrote an op-ed in Washington Post about Johnny Depp. Where she accused him of domestic violence and accused that powerful institutions were protecting him. Over the years, however, it has been clear that it’s Amber Heard who was abusive towards Johnny Depp.
Johnny Depp sued Amber for the op-ed she wrote in the Washington Post. In that trial, Johnny Depp’s team played a recorded tape where Amber said, “Tell the world, Johnny. Tell them, “I, Johnny Depp, a man — I’m a victim, too, of domestic violence,” and see who believes you?”
This tape made it clear to everyone that Amber abuses him, but she also knew that the world wouldn’t believe a man over a woman. She knew how to manipulate the media for her benefit. This made many people hate her.
Pledge Vs. Donate
After the divorce between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, Amber got 7 million dollars as a divorce settlement. But many people started calling her a gold digger. Thus, she publicly announced that she would donate all of her $7 million divorce settlement money to ACLU and the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital.
After a few months, she started giving interviews to various news media. And every time she said that she had already donated all of the money. $3.5 million was given to the ACLU, and $3.5 million was given to the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital.
However, during the 2022 Johnny-Amber trial, the ACLU said that Amber Heard didn’t pay $3.5 million to them.
During the cross-examination on trial, when asked why she continued to tell people that he donated all the money even though she didn’t, she answered, “That’s incorrect. The interaction made clear that Amber Heard lied about her donations and continued to lie. She misled the media about her contributions to get good press.
Photo Manipulation
At the trial, Amber Heard submitted multiple photographs to prove that Johnny Depp was abusive to her. Those were selfies taken in private settings. However, an expert from Depp’s team showed the court that all the photos that Amber Heard submitted to the court had been manipulated by a photo editing app. Here’s a preview from the trial.
Moreover, during the second cross-examination of Amber, Depp’s lawyer showed two photos that Amber’s team presented to the court that were identical. Still, Amber claims that those were taken on two separate occasions. It proved Amber Heard committed perjury.
Even though Amber continued to disagree with all the evidence, experts found clear evidence of photo manipulation.
Tipping of TMZ
Amber Heard continuously told the court that she didn’t want attention. She tried to move on after the divorce, but her husband, Johnny Depp, isn’t allowing her to move on. However, this statement is in stark contrast to her behavior.
On May 20, 2016, Johnny Depp’s mother died. On May 21, 2016, Amber Heard sent a letter about a divorce settlement demand through her lawyer. She gave Johnny 7 days to respond. When he didn’t answer, Amber went to court and filed for a temporary restraining order (TRO) and told the court that she was abused by Johnny even though Johnny Depp was not with her for the last 7 days.
However, before she got the TRO, she tipped TMZ. She informed them that she would file a TRO against Johnny Depp and she would have a bruise on her left cheek. She would stop for a moment to pose for a photograph.
The next day she was also photographed outside of her lawyer’s office. However, this time there was no bruise on her left cheek. Even though Amber Heard says that she used makeup to hide those bruises, experts say that she used a bruise kit to fake her injuries multiple times.
A few years ago, a video of Johnny Depp went viral where he slammed kitchen cabinet doors which generated huge negative press against Depp.
According to a TMZ reporter’s testimony in court, TMZ holds the copyright of that video. The reporter said it took 15 minutes for them to verify the ownership of the video, transfer the copyright and publish it on their website.
When asked about how they could prove the ownership of the video in 15 minutes, the TMZ reporter said that it was possible because the video came directly from the source or owner of the video (inferring Amber Heard). The testimony can be found here.

She Couldn’t Cry
During the entire testimony in the 2022 trial, Amber Heard cried. However, one thing that everyone observed was that there was no water in her eyes. Not only were her testimony and stories exaggerated, but her facial expression also was extreme.
However, during a sworn deposition, her acting coach revealed that Amber Heard couldn’t produce tears while she acted.
The acting coach testified that, while genuine crying emotion, she would produce tears in her eyes. However, she has difficulty making tears when she acts.
This deposition proved that she was acting and lying during her testimony in court.
She is Unpopular
Amber Heard is a B-list actor. Even though she compares herself to Jason Mamoa, Gal Gadot, and other famous actors, she is very unpopular. Even the Warners Brother chief executive told the court through a video deposition that Amber Heard had no chemistry with Jason Mamoa in the Aquaman movie. Moreover, during the trial, Hollywood experts revealed that Amber Heard is less popular than an average actor.
Amber Heard tried to show sadness during the trial while on the stand. However, while not on the stand, her facial expression was not appealing to many. Her face repeatedly showed concept and smirk towards Johnny Depp.
Moreover, while Johnny Depp and his witnesses testified about how Amber Heard abused Depp, she smiled numerous times. As if it was amusing to her. She showed no remorse.
She said everyone is a liar.
Amber Heard was caught repeatedly lying under oath. She changed stories, manipulated photos, and denied her abuse admission recorded on tape. She tried to gaslight others by saying everyone misrepresented what she was saying.
Amber Heard told the court under oath that everyone is coming out of the woodwork to support Johnny Depp because everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame. According to her, everyone is a liar, except for herself.
According to her, all the doctors, former marines, surgeons, psychologists, police officers, reporters, and former partners lied under oath to support Johnny Depp. As if only Amber Heard tells the truth even though video and audio evidence proves otherwise.
Amber Heard was unpopular long before the 2022 trial. However, this trial showed how manipulative she is.
A movie, TV serial, and product endorsement highly depend on the actor and their public image. Amber Heard destroyed her public image and likeability herself. While Johnny Depp continued to soar in people’s eyes, her reputation got decimated because of her lies and deceit.
It is Amber Heard who destroyed her career.
