Tesla Roadster is an all-electric supercar. It reaches 0-60 mph in 1.9s, goes 620 miles on a single charge, and has a top speed of more than 250 miles per hour. According to Elon Musk, there is no finer car in history than Tesla Roadster, and there will be none in the future.
Here, we are going to discuss everything you need to know about Tesla Roadster. At the end of this article, we also have compared the specs of the Tesla Roadster with numerous other muscle cars, including world-famous supercars.
Record-Breaking Specs:
The new Tesla Roadster is the fastest production car ever built that goes 0-60 mph in less than 2 seconds. This is the first time any production car has broken the 2 seconds record of 0 to 60.
It goes quarter-mile in 8.8 seconds. This is also the first time any production car has broken the 9 seconds record in quarter-mile.
The Roadster has a 200 kWh battery pack with a 1000 km (620 mile) range. This is the first production electric vehicle that breaks a 1000 km range record.
According to Elon Musk, “Tesla Roadster is a hardcore smackdown to a gasoline car.”
“Next-gen Roadster will be absolutely out of this world. For those who love to drive, there is no finer car in history, and we don’t think there will be another.” – Elon Musk.

Tesla Roadster Interesting Facts:
Tesla Roadster has an option to add “SpaceX Package.” The SpaceX option package will include 10 small COPV (Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessel) cold gas rocket thrusters arranged seamlessly around the Roadster. These rocket engines dramatically improve acceleration, top speed, braking, and cornering. However, this package will make the Roadster a 2 seater car because those COPV will be placed in the back of the vehicle.
The Tesla Roadster is a glass hardtop convertible. The glass roof can be taken out and placed in the trunk of the car. This tinted glass roof also comes with ultraviolet and infrared protection.
It has a 3 motor (1 motor in the front, 2 in the rear) all-wheel-drive plaid powertrain.
Technology Features:
Every Roadster has the following technologies-
Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS):
The Tesla Roadster comes with a built-in adaptive lighting system similar to Model S and Model X. The Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) operates whenever the headlights are on. This AFS automatically adjusts the beam of the headlights to improve individuals driving view. Electric sensors measure driving speed, steering angle, and yaw (the rotation of the car around the vertical axis) to determine the optimum position of the headlights based on current driving conditions.
For example, to improve visibility while driving on winding roads at night, the AFS casts the beam in the direction of the curve. When low beam headlights are turned on, and when driving at lower speeds, AFS improves lateral illumination to increase the visibility of pedestrians and curbs, and to improve visibility when turning at a dark intersection, into a driveway, or when making a u-turn.
Auto High Beam:
The high beam headlights can automatically switch to low beam when there is light detected in front of Tesla Roadster (for example, from an oncoming vehicle). The high beam will again turn on when there is no oncoming traffic.
Built-in Dash Camera:
The CyberTruck has 8 cameras. These cameras works as a dashcam, and recorded video is saved in a flash drive. No dashcam on the market can beat this because Tesla records all 4 sides of the vehicle.
Sentry Mode:
Sentry Mode is a feature that allows you to monitor suspicious activities around your Tesla when it’s parked and locked. When suspicious motion is detected, your car will react depending on the severity of the threat. If a significant threat is detected, the cameras on your vehicle will begin recording, and the alarm system will activate. You will receive an alert from your Tesla app, notifying you that an incident has occurred.
Tesla Mobile App:
The Tesla mobile app allows you to communicate with the Roadster remotely using your iPhone or Android phone. With this app, you can:
Keyless driving: Unlock and drive your car without your key.
Climate Control: Remotely vent your roof or turn on the climate control system.
View the vehicle’s estimated range.
Check charging progress, stop charging, and receive notifications when charging is started, interrupted, almost complete, or complete.
Check the interior temperature and heat or cool the cabin before driving (even if it’s in a garage).
Locate Tesla Roadster with directions, or track its movement across a map.
Flash the lights or honk the horn to find Roadster when parked.
Lock or unlock Roadster from afar.
Open the front or rear trunk.
Enable Valet Mode: Restrict access to your car by hiding all personal data from your touchscreen, limiting maximum speed and performance, and locking your front trunk and glove compartment.

Enable/disable Speed Limit Mode and receive notifications when the vehicle’s driving speed is within approximately 3 mph (5 km/h) of your selected maximum speed.
View the odometer, VIN, and current software version.
Schedule Service: You can schedule service visits through the Tesla app.
Autopilot:
Autopilot is standard on every Roadster. It enables your car to steer, accelerate, and brake automatically for other vehicles and pedestrians within its lane. This driver assistance feature also includes blind-spot monitoring, emergency braking, and collision warning.
Full Self Driving:
You get the following features with full self-driving:
Navigate on Autopilot: automatic driving from highway on-ramp to off-ramp, including interchanges and overtaking slower cars.
Auto Lane Change: automatic lane changes while driving on the highway.
Autopark: both parallel and perpendicular spaces.
Summon: your parked car will come to find you anywhere in a parking lot.
Recognize and respond to traffic lights and stop signs.
Automatic driving on city streets.
PIN to Drive:
PIN to Drive allows you to set a secure four-digit verification that must be entered before your car is driven.
Dog Mode:
Dog mode is a climate control feature that leaves the car’s air conditioning or heater on when owners leave their pets in their Tesla.
Infotainment System:
Tesla vehicles have the world’s most advanced infotainment system. It has Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, DisneyPlus, Spotify, Arcade games, Satellite maps (Google Maps) with live traffic visualization, Web browser, Caraoke (Karaoke for Cars), Skeptchpad, and Twitch to name a few. These features are not available in any other vehicle on the market.
Free Premium Features:
Auto-dimming, power-folding, heated side mirrors.
Cold weather features including heated seats for every passenger, heated steering wheel, wiper blade defrosters, and washer nozzle heaters

Tesla Roadster vs. Bugatti Chiron:
Bugatti Chiron’s price starts at $2,990,000. This 3 million dollar vehicle’s cargo space is almost nonexistent and has a limited selection of tech. It does not even offer any driver assistance features such as radar cruise control, not even a blind-spot monitoring system. It has no digital touch screen, infotainment system, built-in google maps, apple car play, or android auto support.
